The Senior Project Manager is a member of the SAIC Cloud One Engineering Team focused on project execution and management of the delivery of artifacts. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the project management function of the common services and infrastructure changes for the Cloud One cloud platforms. This is remote work that may be performed from any location within the United States.

Working with matrixed team members, the successful project manager will support deployment of engineering changes in any one of four cloud environments by directing day-to-day activities while managing cost, schedule, and performance in implementing industry leading technologies and products.  The project manager will also have demonstrated experience in multiple software development frameworks in a DevOps/DevSecOps delivery model.  The Project Manager will be an effective communicator with excellent time management skills to manage multiple product deliveries while providing clear direction across dynamic, integrated product teams and reporting channels. 

Daily activities may include:

  • Plan, integrate and monitor assigned projects.
  • Work with program stakeholders to forecast, plan, and coordinate all program level procurements and integrations.
  • Direct day-to-day activities for all project and product related efforts.
  • Develop project proposals by coordinating with contract officer, Cloud Engineers and program stakeholders to determine scope, cost and pricing for RFPs submitted by the government.
  • Hands on experience with project planning to include initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling to closure.
  • Documented experience with project scope planning, including setting timelines and designing work breakdown structure.
  • Determine and plan resources.
  • Take responsibility for project quality management and project risk management, including determining risks, constraints, and mitigations.
  • Plan out communications and document into a communication plan.
  • Develop project budgets for the RFPs and track performance through the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly reporting metrics for all related project or product milestones.
  • Ability to interact with high level customers and collaborate with key stakeholders on the proposed solution for project planning.
  • Serve as the conduit between different program teams to identify interdependencies and/or gaps for successful deployments.
  • Ultimately responsible for communication to program leadership, other program teams and government stakeholders.
  • Directly responsible for reporting all risks and mitigation efforts for all project related activities to government stakeholders and program leadership.
  • Ultimately responsible for quality of products and deliverables for each project or product.

Qualifications

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • US citizenship required with a Secret clearance required to start.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Nine (9) years of IT Project Management experience in an commercial enterprise or government environment
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with MS-Project
  • Current PMP certification
  • Experience includes proposing, planning, and directing multiple technical projects
  • Documented experience with Agile, waterfall and iterative project lifecycles

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Current ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification
  • Experience with enterprise-grade cloud platforms
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy or related ticketing system

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
