SAIC is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, mission-driven Information Systems Security Engineer/Engineering (ISSE) in support of a USG big data program that Extracts, Transforms, and Loads (ETL) incoming datasets for use by numerous down-stream systems and analysts. The qualified candidate will be part of an Agile team of multi-disciplinary engineers who support an effort to increase the speed of data delivery for structured and unstructured data in the interest and support of national security objectives. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls
  • Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies
  • Performs security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications
  • Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, information engineering, or a related subject - OR - four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Experience with USG customer security policies and procedures
  • Experience with security framework tools, such as XACTA and Greenlight
  • Experience performing system scans with tools such as Nessus
  • Experience with Agile tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms, such as Databricks, AWS EMR, and Apache Spark to execute an Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) mission
  • Familiarity with Apache Nifi, Databricks, and AWS Cloud
  • Must be creative problem solver and critical thinking skills
