Description

SAIC is seeking a Training Exercise Planner located at Fort Meade, Maryland. The Training Exercise Planner contributes to overall operational training of the Joint Operations Center (JOC) and assists with evaluating organizational priorities/needs in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to both designing and planning exercises by preparing and disseminating products such as exercise plans (EXPLAN), controller/evaluator (C/E) handbooks, Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), player briefings, After Action Reports/Corrective Action Plans, etc.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Joint Planning Process and Operational Design.
  • Familiarization with the levels of War military's joint task strategy.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the Joint Training System (JTS).
  • Knows how to use Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) database.
  • Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of annual exercises, training, and staffing plans.
  • Develops schedules and assists in preparing, administrating, and executing all levels of training.
  • Develops exercise products to include (but not limited to) meeting notes, mock exercise injects, exercise scripts, after actions reports, recommendations, and planning documents.
  • Monitors and reviews strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and operational standards from applicable headquarters and stakeholders.
  • Contributes content to Readiness Report development.
  • Prepares and coordinates training plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Assists with evaluating Mission Essential Tasks (MET) in accordance with Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETL) standards. A joint force commander's list of priority joint tasks, derived from plans and orders, along with associated conditions and measurable standards, constitutes the joint force commander's warfighting requirements and is called a Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL). The JMETL represents a commander's priority joint warfighting requirements based on assigned missions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 10 years of related experience.
  • Must have exercise planning experience. 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • An active TS/SCI with Poly clearance. 
  • US Citizenship. 

 


Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
