SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission, and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, DevSecOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

 We are seeking a highly motivated Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager to join our National Intelligence Program providing support to an environment encompassing analytic and software capabilities to include data visualization tools, language translation, data ingestions, extraction, and modeling.  This role is vital for maintaining the smooth and reliable operation of our IT enterprise environment, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems.  This position can be in Herndon, VA, McLean, VA or Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. 

 Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • All O&M activities within the Sponsor’s IT enterprise environment, ensuring the seamless and reliable operation of IT systems. The role will be pivotal in managing 24x7 support, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices, all within an Agile infrastructure.
  • Support and refine the incident management processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor system performance and generate regular reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and best practices is crucial.
  • Work within an Agile infrastructure, you will adapt to changes and promote continuous improvement in all O&M activities.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders will be essential, providing updates on system performance, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more of experience, or Master's and four (4) years or more of experience..
  • Will consider additional 4 years’ experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven experience in managing O&M activities for IT enterprise environments, with a focus on 24x7 support.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and maintenance practices are essential.
  • Leadership and team management skills are critical, as is the ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in planning and coordinating maintenance activities, is important.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools to include Jira and Confluence.

    • ITIL® Foundation Certification

    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

    • Project Management Professional (PMP)

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
