Description
SAIC is seeking a Project Coordinator in support of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cybersecurity mission to ensure HHS can actively protect the vital health information with which it is entrusted, respond to existing and emerging cybersecurity threats, and continue to enhance the program to ensure HHS has the capability and capacity to respond to new and emerging requirements, technologies and threats. The role is directly in support of the Project Management Services team and will support project teams and system owners in ensuring solutions meet business needs.
This is a 100% Remote position.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Help manage the Data Guardian program - a network of points of contact throughout the Office of the Secretary who collaborate on cybersecurity and privacy issues.
· Prepare weekly newsletter for the Data Guardian program.
· Manage a training program email inbox, including assisting client staff and contractors with training-related queries and tracking completion of mandatory annual cybersecurity training.
· Create clear and concise reports for leadership on the annual training compliance status of each staffing division.
· Assist the client with various communication tasks related to training and the Data Guardian program.
· Proactively determine next steps the client could take to improve programs and/or compliance.
· Update the status of deliverables in weekly task trackers on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years of related experience; PhD and zero (0) years of related experience. Additional years of experience considered in lieu of a degree. Must have the adequate knowledge and skills to learn and perform the described job.
1-2 years of hands on IT project experience
Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning and organizing.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of the basics of the cybersecurity landscape, vocabulary, and best practices.
Experience with working for an enterprise cybersecurity program in the government or private sector.
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
