SAIC is seeking motivated candidates to support the Secret and Below Releasable Environment (SABRE) program in the Air Force Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Air Force Life Cycle Management Center to continue our current work building out the Secret and Below Releasable Environment (SABRE) program within Air Force Cloud One. SABRE is a key component of the DoD Operational Mission Partner Environment (MPE) and the DoD strategy on how to send, secure and share critical data to United States and its global mission partners as quickly possible, reduce the cost of maintaining multiple bilateral and multilateral networks, and secure the mission partner ally enterprise networks and information domains against constantly evolving near peer adversaries. SABRE also serves as a pathfinder in developing Zero-Trust (ZT) policy at the DoD and Service-levels on the combatant use of Information Domains as a contested warfighting environment and the future of data-centric operations. The candidate for this position may work anywhere in the United States. There is no requirement to work at a SAIC or customer site to support Cloud One. 

The integration engineer will be responsible for tier-three operations escalation support during break/fix situations involving the workstation baseline. The integration engineer may support patching, upgrading, and securing the image for regular update releases into production. 

The integration engineer will also support other engineering activities and projects in a very diverse and fast-paced test and integration environment. General duties will include:

  • Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions to total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products.
  • Prepares engineering plans and site installation technical design packages.
  • Coordinates the analysis, acquisition and installation of hardware and software.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to support the development of system requirements.
  • Provides post-installation and integration support to the operations team.
  • Develops work plans, procedures, and estimates as they relate to systems integration tasks and team members.
  • Interfaces with various team members to implement tasks according to the project management schedule.
  • Develops technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents.

Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Extensive experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and integrating Microsoft system, Linux, ICAM, IDAM, PKI, and other applications in an air gapped environment.
  • Knowledge and experience working with cloud-based services.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints involving complex network configuration and/or troubleshooting requirements.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of experience as a system integrator, system engineer, or senior system administrator with focus on Data Center Systems; OR, High School equivalent and 13+ years of experience.
  • Experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and integrating network devices, virtualization technologies, and storage devices. 
  • Must have an IAT II cert or be able to obtain within 60 days of start date.
  • Must have a DoD secret or higher clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must be adept at a scripting language.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
