SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. 

This role is a remote work position, but candidates are preferred to be within driving distance to Huntsville, AL due to regular demonstration support and cross team collaboration efforts.

Description: 

We follow most modern software development practices influenced by agile methodologies, devops principles, and site reliability engineering. Team members are both problem solvers and software developers. All teammates regularly work together, collaborating, peer reviewing, and pair programming to solve significant challenges.

Responsibilities:

• The engineer will primarily support sensor and data fusion efforts, but will also be expected to support general software development tasks as needed, to include: back end, front end, pipelines, infrastructure, and ops.
• Additional responsibilities outside of software development may be requested.
• Candidate must have experience with software based data fusion for sensors and/or targets. Candidate should be prepared to provide, at a minimum, verbal evidence of experience with sensors and data fusion.
• Sensor and data fusion experience must be in a professional setting and not an educational setting.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and zero (0) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 

Qualifications:

• 2+ yrs sensor and data fusion experience
• Experience writing custom data fusion algorithms
• Team collaboration skills
• Communication skills particularly bridging the gap between customer/business needs and technical implementations
• Agile methodology experience
• Git experience
• Windows
• Experience with a major common language such as C++, C#, python, Go, Java

Clearance:

Candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start. 

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
