Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Principal to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong software development skills with the ability to learn new tools and technologies to enhance and expand the capabilities of our products. The candidate should also provide software architecture expertise to translate requirements into technical design and guide the integration between front-end and back-end developers.  This is a key role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovation.

This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support feature development, including technical design and software architecture support, for the Tenjin data science platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define and develop requirements for Tenjin features.
  • Develop technical designs and software architectures from feature requirements to support development and integration of back-end functionality with feature UI/UX elements.
  • Develop software products using agile methodologies to enhance the capabilities and performance of the Tenjin product.
  • Develop product documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas and technologies into roadmap planning.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree with nine (9) or more years of experience in software development. Master's degree with seven (7) or more years of experience in software development.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting complex software projects.
  • Strong technical background, with expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Experience with the following tools and technologies: Python, React, API development, VSCode, Git/Gitlab, data analytics, machine learning, Docker.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt them into existing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

DESIRED EDUCATION:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
