SAIC is seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Control Principal to support programs within the Navy Business Group. This position requires proven experience across project planning and control with a background in Government financial analysis. Candidate will Participate in the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk.

This position is 100% remote nationwide.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze monthly financial records and reports.
  • Research complex accounting issues and errors to find solutions.
  • Generate, review, track and approve customer invoice and or back-up documentation.
  • Conducts cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret accounting records to improve program performance.
  • Monitor disbursements and research problems to identify issues and recommend corrections.
  • Help prepare monthly metrics reports, internal management reports, and external customer reports.
  • Help prepare and present financial data, progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations.
  • Participate in the development of budgets (spend plans, ETC’s, EAC’s) for assigned programs and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and program financial variances.
  • Must be able to multi-task and support program with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Interface with program managers, SAIC’s finance, accounting, contracts, as well as external customers daily to address operational issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and minimum ten (10) years or more of related experience; Master's and eight (8) years or more experience.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Experience in providing financial tracking and support for the government customer in areas of Program Control with focus on large Fixed Price integration contracts, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principle.
  • Can make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, accounting principles.
  • Ability to balance long-term thinking with short-term execution.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision, persistent in follow-through.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, and PowerBI
