Description
SAIC is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Department of Defense (DoD) Counter – Unmanned Systems (C-UxS) Analyst on our Prime program supporting our U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) customer in Omaha, NE. This work, within USSTRATCOM’s Mission Assurance Division, involves coordinating with the Joint Staff Counter – small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Program Management Office (JCO), Headquarters elements of the Military Services, USSTRATCOM Components, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). The candidate will provide support and information to USSTRATCOM Command senior leaders (J0), USSTRATCOM Operations Directorate (J3), and Division Leadership (J34) for governance of C-sUAS issues across the C-sUAS community. Qualified candidates shall perform project planning and management functions (e.g., producing monthly status reports (MSRs), and documenting meeting minutes and related technical analyses). Qualified candidates must be currently eligible for TS/SCI security clearance.
Roles and responsibilities include:
· Represent the Nuclear Weapons and Physical Security Operations Branch for emerging C-UxS threats to nuclear weapons security and Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) capabilities supporting facility, asset, and security for USSTRATCOM’s nuclear and NC2 deterrence missions
· Prepare and provide direct support to USSTRATCOM leaders for monthly C-sUAS governance boards to include an 0-6 level Joint C-UAS Working Group (JCW), a 1-2 star Joint C-UAS General Officer Steering Group (JCG), and a quarterly 3-4 star level Joint C-UAS Executive Steering Committee (JCE). Includes drafting “15 liners” to reserve conference rooms with leadership executive officers, and providing preparatory packages for leadership.
· Advocate for policy, capabilities, enhancements, and long-term defensive improvements to address C-UxS threats to NC2 and Nuclear Weapons physical security
· Provide inputs to and navigate within the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) task management system. Review C-UxS documents to provide USSTRATCOM inputs for Policy, Instructions, Concept of Operations, etc., meet suspense as required
· Virtually attend numerous classified and unclassified C-sUAS video teleconferences; provide USSTRATCOM input when requested, back brief USSTRATCOM government C-UxS division leadership as necessary
· Collaborate with USSTRATCOM staff to support planning, development and execution of operational C-UAS assessments at selected strategic locations. Involves some TDYs to support on-site initial and final planning meetings and observation of operational assessment.
· Monitor daily classified UAS incursion reporting for locations of interest to USSTRATCOM. Provide leadership additional information and analysis on specific incursions as requested.
· Become familiar with emerging C-UxS and UxS technologies, especially C-UxS employed at, or UxS threatening USSTRATCOM’s locations of interest. Provide a brief summary of C-UxS or UxS systems and/or technologies to leadership as requested.
· Collaborate and coordinate with USTRATCOM elements, Military Services, Component Commands and other organizations/agencies such as the US Navy Strategic Support Program (SSP), and DTRA.
Qualifications
· Bachelors and ten years or more experience or fourteen years of experience in lieu of degree
· Must currently possess an active TS/SCI clearance
Skills Required:
· Experience with and understanding of USSTRATCOM’s mission set
· Experience with and understanding of C-UxS, C-UAS, C-UUV, and/or UxS, UAS, UUV technologies and/or systems
· Operational expertise in nuclear weapons and/or NC2 physical security
