SAIC is seeking Cloud DevOps Engineers to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
SAIC is at the forefront of cloud technology and building innovative solutions for digital engineering in the Department of Defense. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and services to utilize the cloud as an enabler for modernizing software development capabilities within the Army. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team with a sense of urgency and commitment to delivering excellency to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Develop, manage, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Administer and support cloud environments on Azure and/or AWS.
- Perform Linux and Windows system administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense security requirements.
- Apply DISA STIG (Secure Technical Implementation Guides) where necessary.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Support Kubernetes deployments and administration.
- Implement and manage cloud networking solutions.
- Build scalable digital engineering environments.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors and five (5) years’ experience; Six (6) additional years’ experience can be consider in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 1+ years of experience using Terraform in production environments.
- 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
- 1+ years of experience with Azure and/or 1+ years of experience with AWS cloud.
- Experience with Linux administration.
- Experience with building and administering Kubernetes.
- General understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps best practices.
- Security-focused mindset with knowledge of defense industry standards.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience with Ansible.
- Familiarity with DISA STIG.
- Cloud networking experience.
- Experience working with Department of Defense systems.
- Understanding of security requirements for defense systems.
