Description

SAIC has a new opportunity for a Software Systems Test Engineer at Offutt AFB, Nebraska providing software testing support to the USSTRATCOM Strategic Mission, Planning and Execution System (SMPES) software development and delivery. Provides test and evaluation software development.  This includes developing and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting results.  Prepares studies, plans, and analyses.

 

Duties Include:

•              Writing test plans and conducting tests of the upgraded Nuclear Planning and Execution System applications and Oracle database repository on the Multiple Levels of Classified Networks.

•              Participate in an integrated team operating under an Agile Framework.

•              Coordinate the activities of customer and user test personnel.

•              Document test results.

•              Support software requirements and project management processes.

  •        Develop and Implement Just-In-Time Testing Plan to ensure Software is delivered to meet specified capabilities and providing immediate     feedback to Sprint teams to ensure capabilities requested are delivered

 

Qualifications

•              Bachelors and (9) years or more experience or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree

•              Active TS/SCI Clearance

•              Experience with Agile project management tools including Jira and Confluence.

•              Experience with Oracle databases.

 

Recommended (nice to have):

· Experience with ISPAN family of Software design and requirements generation

· Experience with operations and maintenance within SMPES, MPAS, NPES, DSS, & FSR

· Experience with automated test tools

· Experience with the USSTRATCOM Enterprise Database (EDB), its data management infrastructure and associated mission data products.

· Experience using USSTRATCOM Oracle based database infrastructures to diagnose application and system data issues

· Knowledge of aircraft or missile planning

· Knowledge of automated message processing

· Familiarity with nuclear planning software systems

· Familiarity with current USSTRATCOM nuclear plans and planning process

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidates must have a current TOP SECRET clearance, and will be required to obtain other special security accesses and SCI to perform the work. Must have a current background investigation within the last six years from actual hire date.
