SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. The candidate would become a part of a team that is migrating legacy applications into a Cloud environment. This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.

The primary responsibilities will include:

• Evaluates legacy application architecture and proposes to-be cloud architecture
• Assists in preparation of work breakdown structures and level of effort estimates
• Creates Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts
• Develops data migration approaches
• Supports User Acceptance Testing and issue remediation
• Conducts knowledge transfer activities for transition to sustainment teams
• Produces technical documentation and procedures

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be a US Citizen  - No dual citizenship.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Must have the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (can be obtained within 90 days from start date).
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field with five or more years of experience.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud service offerings.
• Experience translating as-is architecture to cloud-based architecture selecting appropriate Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) cloud service offerings to best meet customer requirements.
• Experience with IaC such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
• Experience with automation technology such as Jenkins, TFS, and/or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of software n-tier architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
• Knowledge of application middleware such as WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to an audience of varying technical levels.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• AWS and/or Azure certifications.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience migrating legacy on-prem applications to a cloud service provider.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or US Federal Government IT systems.
• Knowledge of application middleware such as WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS.
• Experience in programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, ASP.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
