Description
SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is seeking a Test Engineer to fill a key position supporting the Intelligence Community (IC), delivering solutions across a range of rapidly expanding and complex space and ground system initiatives. The Test Engineer will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support to the National Reconnaissance Office, offering unparalleled insight into an emerging mission area and opportunities to secure our nation’s space enterprise. The customer is developing a next generation of space and ground systems architectures.
Job Duties to include:
- Provides Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support
- Oversee planning and execution of requirements verification testing
- Draft and coordinate test requirements for new contracts and/or contract modifications
- Evaluate and monitor the use of plans for system testing and test procedures
- Provide testing subject matter expert for integration of system elements and integrated system testing
- Create, edit, and lead execution of test documentation
- Observe software tests and coordinate data inputs/outputs
- Uncover and report discrepancies, assess impacts, and make recommendations on workarounds and fixes to ensure
requirement verification
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and 9 years of experience; OR Masters and 7 years of experience; OR PhD or JD and 4 years of
experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
- Experience supporting testing and requirements sell-off processes
- General knowledge of testing principles, software testing, and analysis
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with test engineers, as well as other technical and non-technical personnel
- Aptitude for on-site SETA work
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across organizations with competing priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
