Description
SAIC is seeking a qualified Air Operations Center Senior Staff Role Player at Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC), Norfolk, VA.
The individual in this position will provide subject matter expertise (SME) regarding joint and naval air operations, particularly air tasking order planning support for operational-level exercise events supporting Fleet Headquarters. NWDC requires Joint Force Air Component Command and Combined Air and Space Operations Center (JFACC / CAOC) expertise to respond to peer HQ coordination in the accomplishment of their mission to train and sustain Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs) command and control capabilities at Major and Numbered Fleet Commands, Naval Component Commands (NCC) and when designated, Joint Force Maritime Component Commands (JFMCC) at the Operational Level of War (OLW). The ideal candidate must have naval operational-level / Fleet HQ experience or equivalent joint HQ experience, and knowledge regarding coordinated Joint and Combined Air Operations Center (JAOC/CAOC) processes between maritime and air component staffs. Must also be knowledgeable about Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC) processes supported by the AOC and liaison elements, specifically Naval and Amphibious Liaison Element (NALE) or naval coordination of air operations (i.e. CSG liaison in deployed operations). Additionally, the ideal candidate should be someone who understands MOC to AOC coordination and planning tasks required in the conduct of simulated and real-world events (local, remote, distributed, live, virtual, and constructive; friendly, neutral, and threat maritime forces). These tasks include, but are not limited to: exercise concept development, planning, scheduling, modeling, simulation architecture design, simulation management and operations, intelligence, scenario development, database builds and tests, event response and control cells, assessment, as well as support to development of future maritime domains within the joint training environment.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors or Arts or Bachelor of Science degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience. An additional four (4) years of direct work experience in lieu of a degree.
