Description
SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
We are looking for an individual with experience supporting military Force Protection systems engineering, integration, and test. The Force Protection team integrates sensors and other devices, monitoring and control software, and computers on computer networks to create systems that protect military personnel, resources and facilities from potential threats.
The ideal candidate will have related experience with military Force Protection systems, be able to work with limited supervision and general instructions given for new work assignments, and be capable of frequent communication with Systems Engineers and Software Engineers and occasional communication with other departments - e.g., Hardware Engineering, Training Development.
Typical daily activities: review software requirements; conceive, document, and perform software test plans and processes based on software requirements; set up and configuration of computers, networks, device simulation/emulation software, and software to be tested; and, document test results and anomalies in reports and issue tracking tools.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; Four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree
Required Qualifications:
- Experience reviewing software high-level and module requirements
- Developing, peer reviewing, and executing test plans, test cases, and manual and automated test procedures to ensure products satisfy end-user requirements and identify any defects.
- Coordinating activities and reviews test cases/scripts with Software Test Lead, Requirement Lead, and Software Engineers.
- Performing verification activities on work products using defined/developed methods, procedures and criteria.
- Documenting and communicating test results in internal tools/reports and reports to be delivered to customers.
- Supporting analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
- Documenting and working to resolve complex problems.
- Reporting progress on problem resolution to management.
- Devise improvements to current procedures.
- Creating daily test metrics and reports.
Clearance:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance.
