SAIC is seeking an Asset Management Analyst with an engineering understanding to work with system owners and cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, quality, test, configuration, and supply chain) to establish and implement hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention policies, standards and procedures that align with DoD standards and strategy. As our analyst, you will become a critical team member for early risk identification through the reliability, maintainability and availability (RMA) process and analysis and participation and engagement with the risk and quality management processes. The position entails articulate communication for briefing, reporting and leading working groups with both internal and external customers.
Some of the fun stuff you will be doing on the job:
• Investigate available hardware and software products and evaluate and recommend products based on user requirements
• Coordinate with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate equipment at the lowest cost.
• Analyze all hardware and software lifecycle for maintenance, serviceability, end of service and end of life tracking and resource requirements at the technical and programmatic levels
• Review licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.
• Maintain and implement the procedural approach of Lifecycle Sustainment Management Plan and the engineering rigor of the maintenance process
• Coordinate and align the processes of engineering and functional operations to sustainment efforts.
• Assist with quantifying RMA measurements for schedule and cost impacts as well as quantifying and qualifying opportunities to improve and/or expand capabilities by recapitalization, tech-refresh and/or refurbishment
• Facilitate LCM related lessons learned/after action reviews with internal and external customers
• Create program level metrics (e.g. 30-60-90, EOL/EOS, Maintenance Cycle, RMA)
• Work with program and task schedulers to identify critical actions and dependencies associated to system sustainment and resource monitoring
Qualifications
This is you:
• Active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in a technically related field with 5 years of relevant systems sustainment management experience, or Master’s Degree (accredited) and 3 years of relevant systems sustainment experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in asset and license management and materials procurement
• Strong understanding of the engineering processes associated to sustainment RMA, early identification and recommendation during requirements and design definition stages.
• Familiarity to sustainment standards (i.e. ISO, IEEE, MIL)

• Experience working with DoD/Space Force customers in a Government environment.
• Able to prioritize competing requirements and tasks
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with MBSE, sustainment management tools and authoritative source tools (i.e Cameo, DOORS)
