Senior Digital Engineer/Model-Based Systems Engineer

SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with experience in Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to join our energized team supporting an exciting, mission-driven digital systems engineering program.

In this position, you will exercise both thought leadership and practical Systems Engineering (SE) by using your extensive SE knowledge and DE/MBSE experience to transform the customer’s processes for acquiring and building systems. You will use your knowledge of DE/MBSE processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy systems engineering and integration solutions for use on customer programs. You will learn, apply, and continuously improve customer's current digital ecosystem, facilitate discussion and understanding of model-based solutions, and continuously lead a transformation of the model-based engineering culture. You will engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs and foster a broader understanding and adoption of DE/MBSE and assist them in developing useful digital models that enable the development, integration, and operation of highly complex systems.

A successful candidate for this position will bring a record of application of systems engineering and DE/MBSE methods and creative thought leadership to mature and develop innovative model-based solutions involving processes, tools, and people. Information technology knowledge will be valuable for using digital engineering software. You will engage with the larger community (industry, government, and academia) to stay current on emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques. As part of the team, you will also be expected to mentor others on digital solutions and standards. Demonstrated presentation and writing skills are required.
