We are seeking an independent, experienced Project Coordinator to support an exciting new opportunity at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) located in College Park, MD.  As a Project Coordinator, you will independently provide daily administrative support to the Front Office Senior Leadership team to include the Chief of Staff, Technical Director, and other Senior Leadership team members.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing administrative support, as it relates to professional project requirements, to include oversight and management of operational projects and tasks for the Front Office and coordinating as a liaison between the line staff and senior leadership team members
  • Performing daily scheduling of various activities to include managing and coordinating multiple calendars and scheduling actions for senior leadership in Microsoft Outlook, Webex, and/or set-up of VTC/VMRs
  • Assisting with the scheduling of conference rooms for meetings and events to include subsequent set-up and breakdown of actions
  • Serving as backup to the Office Manager
  • May be assigned tasks that are more dynamic (e.g., less routine) and challenging than other tasks

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project coordination
  • Strong teaming and collaboration skills that foster office unity and cohesiveness in support of completing office administrative requirements in a timely manner
  • Experience producing professionally written emails, letters, documents, and other materials that are succinct, coherent, uses proper tone, demonstrates proper grammatical use of the English language, and presents proper format and form per established corporate or office guidance
  • Ability to articulate and exchange information (e.g., requirements, actions, needs, statuses, etc.) in a professional manner in order to achieve efficient business rhythms
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Webex, and VTC/VMR
