SAIC is seeking an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Research Analyst in Honolulu, HI to support the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) Task Order (TO) to lead research, analysis, and implementation services for emerging technologies in the USINDOPACOM theater within integrated ML, cognitive computing, cyber technology, and AI domains and provide solutions to leverage emerging data technologies while minimizing threats. Coordinate with the government to implement new and emerging technologies and solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Plan, recommend requirements, and design architectural models and prototypes to test the effectiveness of advanced tools and technologies for USARPAC capabilities.
  • Research emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by reviewing mission needs, requirements, integration and interoperability, systems, and standards.
  • Identify current capabilities, deployments, and integrations through red teaming, wargaming simulations, manufacturer inquiries, and tactical data.
  • Identify the potential utilization and effectiveness of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) hardware and software.
  • Conduct research and analysis of current and future Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR)
  • capabilities, requirements, deployments, and integration
  • Analyze mission needs statements, requirements concepts, integration, and interoperability of selected technologies, systems, services, standards, and combinations to identify potential design changes to legacy and emerging systems that may benefit operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Address critical factors such as spectrum operations in a contested environment, human factors, capabilities of the newest sensor technologies, and operational reliability.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and applicability of technologies and approaches in operational applications. Assess standards, procedures, and practices for warfighters' development, fielding, and supporting operational use.
  • Identify technology gaps, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; provide analysis addressing gaps and weaknesses.
  • Employ AI, big data analytical tools, and ML as mechanisms to predict, uncover, and determine relationships and data trends.
  • Promote decision-making and situational awareness through ML-assisted processing of all available information sources.
  • Ensure that any technologies incorporated into or developed under this TO do not conflict with the program baseline.
  • Advise the Government on ethical issues related to future technologies.         

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and five (5)+ years’ of experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
