Description
SAIC seeks a Model Based Systems Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) and (USAF) in its goal of developing an interoperable system of system in a Distributed Battle Management Systems (DBMS) and Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) environment. The goals include achieving alignment with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains.
The position requires an individual with strong technical project management skills, experience in Agile Engineering, and automated and integrated test management.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions, which are highly innovative and ingenious.
FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.
IMPACT: Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and effect the image of the organization's technological capability. LIAISON: Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and twelve (12) years or more experience.
· Us Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
· Experience with building test plans for Software integration
· Experience with Jira and Gitlab and test automation in those environments
