Description
SAIC is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Developer on our Prime program supporting our U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) customer. This work will be within the USSTRATCOM Mission Assurance (MA) Division and require providing hardware, software and technical advisory support in support of the Strategic Mission Assurance Data System (SMADS) and USSTRATCOM MA Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP). This requires coordination and integration efforts with the Services, DOD agencies, elements of Intelligence Community (IC), as well as civil, commercial, and international organizations sharing mutual interests dealing with critical assets and infrastructure across the broad spectrum of national security missions in support of specified tasks, roles and responsibilities assigned to CDRUSSTRATCOM. The successful applicant will provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging classified work. Solutions must be imaginative, innovative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with USSTRATCOM’s objectives. Additionally, the successful applicant must have the ability to work proactively, independently, and as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing innovative solutions. Qualified candidates must be currently eligible for TS/SCI security clearance.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Undertake geospatial development work on new and existing GIS applications.
· Assist with formal analysis of user requirements with regard to new and existing systems, and to provide appropriate design documentation to ensure that developed software is robust, performant and meets the user’s functional requirements.
· Must be able to actively participate in weekly development status meeting as well as ongoing product development design, review and integration meetings, be able to voice concerns and advise on possible resolutions.
· Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer Science / Engineering and three (3) years or more experience. An additional five (5) years or more of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors. Years of work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience to include military training and technical certifications (e.g., Comptia Security+ (Sec+), Comptia Cyber Security Analysis (CySA+), Comptia Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), ITIL Foundations).
