Description
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Operational SIGINT mission supported by multiple satellites. Provide mission engineering and technical evaluation support throughout the phases of the program acquisition process. The candidate will be responsible for the supporting evaluation of future satellite payload capabilities.
Duties:
· Advocate for the OPSIGINT mission
· Provide SME and work with OPSIGINT community to support collection of requirements, translating those requirements into technical solutions and providing information on how current solutions can satisfy mission needs
· Lead end-to-end (E2E) closure of mission thread for existing and new satellite systems and payloads
· Prepare the mission for transition to operations
· Provide knowledge of mission requirements, so that wen development contractors identify a specification non-compliance, the lead can assess the significance of the non-compliance to the mission degradation
· Understand the mission data flow from the satellite sensor through processing and how subsystems contribute to and are integrated to support the OPSIGINT Mission
· Provide assessment of mission performance of the system, from trending mission threads to mission impacts of operational design trades
· Support future architecture analysis with the understanding of link budget analysis, antennas/receiver design and CONOPS
· Collaborate as necessary across the acquisition program and with stakeholders and users
· Provide SME as required to support design, integration, testing, transition to operations and operations
· Support training development for mission operators and analyst
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Technical Degree and 14+ years of SIGINT mission experience
· Experience working with the operational SIGINT community
· Experience working in a satellite systems program office or a satellite development facility
· Knowledge and understanding of SIGINT tools used within the community
· Critical thinking skills
· Excellent communications skills
· Organizational skills
· Travel within the US less than 10% of the time
