Description

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Data Cyber Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position the Landmark GSS program in Chantilly, VA.

Landmark GSS supports the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements
  • Research information security standards
  • Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments
  • Study architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates
  • Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision
  • Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber defense, coordinate, and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace 
  • Advise government personnel on compliance to standards and policies
  • Recommend courses of action for incident response, as well as oversee design of enterprise systems to ensure alignment with local cybersecurity regulations

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Requires 12-15 years with BS/BA or 10-13 years with MS/MA or 10+ with a PhD
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to obtain a Poly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other government and contractors in a challenging and rewarding work environment.
  • Experience with multiple commercial cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
  • Experience or knowledge with Atlassian commercial tools including Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience or knowledge with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) agile methodologies.
