The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM (USTC) located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois, just 20 miles outside of St. Louis, MO. The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6).

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Warehouse Management process to store, secure, inventory, ship, receive, dispose and process ADPE assets.

Responsibilities

·       Serve as the Equipment Coordinator for all ADPE assets transiting or stored in the warehouse.

·       Provide a monthly Warehouse Equipment Inventory Report that includes warranty expirations.

·       Manage the staging and ADPE asset storage area.

·       Provide inventory control for USTRANSCOM ADPE hardware assets and act as the Command’s focal point for receiving, distributing, and disposing of all USTRANSCOM ADPE.

·       Ensure 100% completion of warehouse equipment shipping and receiving requirements.

·       Operate computer hardware and warehousing equipment (e.g., forklift, shelving, pallet jack)

·       Operate and maintain a delivery vehicle.

·       Provide TTPs for warehouse management procedure to effectively share IT warehouse management services

·       Properly dispose of excess or end-of-life IT hardware assets through DLA Disposition Services (formerly known as Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office [DRMO]) or per USTRANSCOM guidance.

·       Provide TTPs (e.g., for shipping, disposal, and requesting assets from the warehouse) to effectively share IT warehouse equipment disposal procedures.

·       Update accountability records to reflect disposed assets.

·       Schedule monthly DLA disposed asset pick-ups and prepare assets for turn-in.

 

This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. 

Qualifications

·       BA/BS

·       5+ years of experience

·       DoD Secret clearance

·       Speaks and writes fluent, grammatically correct English

·       Must be organized and detailed oriented

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·       Experience with MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Excel

·       Ability to manage multiple, high, & competing priorities in a fast-paced, environment

·       Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels

  • Technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Hardware management experience working directly with/for a Government customer.

 

Desired Qualifications

·       MA/MS

·       10+ years of experience

·       DoD TS/SCI clearance

·       ITIL Foundations (v4 or higher) certification
