Description
The Guardian Aircrew Trainer Environment (GATE) project, SAIC in Huntsville, Alabama is currently offering a position for a Systems Engineer. This position is for a systems engineer to work the trainer development program. And will be part of a successful engineering team that develops and supports the world’s most advanced high-fidelity rotary wing trainers and simulators. The candidate should be self-motivated, a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a dynamic and growing team is the key to success.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will support systems engineering activities in the program including market research, requirements definition, and plan development.
The candidate will additionally support analysis of various types of aerospace products, equipment specifications and assembly/test/integration requirements to determine optimization of designs, which can be produced by existing manufacturing/assembly/integration tools/facilities and methods.
A human factor and/or safety background is a strong plus.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree and two (2) years of related experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
- The position requires knowledge and understanding of hardware development principles and processes.
- Experience reading, writing, and interpreting requirements.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong ability to collaborate.
Required Clearance:
- Candidate must possess or be capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance
