Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer in Aurora, CO.

Job Duties:

  • Support the transition of the program from its current on premises iteration into a cloud hosted environment.
  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native geospatial/GEOINT applications and services.
  • Utilize GEOINT and geospatial data, APIs, and tools to build applications that integrate analytics and machine learning solutions.
  • Integrate GEOINT databases and services with cloud-based platforms to enable spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and nine (9) years of experience: 4 more years of experience in lieu of a degree.


Required Clearance:

  • TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly (U.S. Citizenship required). 

Requirements Experience/Qualifications: 

  • DOD 8140 (8570) IAM or IAT Level II Certification 
  • At least 10 years of experience with software system design, development, and integration
  • Experience with Python programming / scripting language
  • Experience with SQL programming language
  • Experience supporting data streaming services.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Ability to work with a distributed team efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking principles.
  • Familiarity with secure development practices 
  • Familiarity with ESRI Database tools and technologies
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Preferred Skills: 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience with ICITE or DCGS-A Cloud concepts and architectures.
  • Familiarly with data science approaches and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development project methodologies.

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
