SAIC is seeking a Technical Instructor to support NIWC Atlantic’s mission capabilities supporting tactical networks and systems such as CANES, ADNS, and CENTRIXS-M. 

This position is located in Groton, CT. Work is performed on site. 

This opportunity is contingent upon award news expected in Summer 2024. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments.

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must hold an active TS/SCI Clearance 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and five (5) years or more of related experience
  • Five (5) years of experience as instructor in a technical trade or craft such as electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, to include: developing appropriate course material, hands on practical experience with techniques being taught, and researching latest technical discipline practices.
  • Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).  
  • Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or with COR approval, other TACNET systems.
  • Experience should include three (3) of the following four (4) areas:
    • Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training.  
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.  
  • Experience in training TACNET, CANES or with COR approval, other Navy C4I systems.
