Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Analyst supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Division (AF/A10S), Operational Analysis Branch (AF/A10SA), on behalf of Air Force Installation Management Support Center (AFIMSC) and United States Air Force Europe-Air Force Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). Work will be performed onsite at the Pentagon or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and telework/remote as required.
Responsibilities include: Provide technical analysis to address questions that arise in the CWMD operations (non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike, counter-air/space actions) arena of USAFE-AFAFRICA ability to survive and operate (ATSO), and CBRN defense technical domains. Provide technical research and operational evaluations to assess, interpret, shape, and help advise AF/A10S, on behalf of AFIMSC and USAFE-AFAFRICA, regarding what operational and scientific testing results mean to operators (e.g., pilot, navigator, aircrew, loadmasters, maintainers, defenders). Apply results of laboratory and field testing (Department of the Air Force (DAF), Joint/Department of Defense (DoD), Ally or partner, etc.), that support the development of CBRN equipment performance criteria, technical reports and operational concepts for USAFE-AFAFRICA and AFIMSC. Develop concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and exercises to address and mitigate deficiencies associated with emerging CBRN threats and/or evolving Air Force employment strategies.
Qualifications
US Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance
Required Education and Experience: Minimum of Bachelors and six years of related experience or Masters and four years related experience.
Required Skills: Experience analyzing requirements, developing and implementing strategic and tactical planning actions, and making recommendations concerning the direction of the agency’s efforts to include the ability to develop short- and long-range Major Command and/or Department of the Air Force (DAF) force development and plans and strategies for major combat operations (MCO) environments. Experience with installation level CBRN defense planning, elements of the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), and knowledge of Operational plans (OPLANS). Specialized expertise in installation level CBRNE attack response procedures within the context of MCO activities and technical analysis of CBRN threats. Working knowledge of DAF CBRN Defense Operations in MCO environments, to include aircrew-related operations. Familiarity with DAF and Department of Defense (DoD) CWMD operations and doctrine. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office products. Knowledge of DoD organizations and functions. Ability to work from alternate, off-site locations as required.
Desired Experience/Skills: Working knowledge of computer utilization for CBRN modeling and analysis (HPAC, VLSTRACK, HOTSPOT, etc). Specialized expertise in analysis of MCO related CBRN threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. History of analysis of lab or CBRN-related studies. History of developing and executing CBRN components of MCO-related exercises. Experience with providing inputs to and reviewing Joint Capabilities and Integration Development System (JCIDS) documents.
