Description
SAIC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) and (USAF) in its goal of developing an interoperable system of system in a Distributed Battle Management Systems (DBMS) and Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) environment. The goals include achieving alignment with the Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains.
The position requires an individual with strong technical project management skills, experience in Agile Engineering, and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for testing and development.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, team skills and DoD Program Management experience. They will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short deadlines and will be expected to develop a plan of action in an Agile process for their work.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be expected to analyze and provide input into the Reference Architectures in SysML, DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) models. The successful candidate will be expected to work within an integrated digital data environment (IDDE) that includes connectivity to the digital thread and other Program Lifecycle Management (PLM), MBSE, and M&S tools.
Performs technical planning, high level and detailed requirements definition, test planning and execution (to include use cases, test procedures and test data), software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems. Total software system product may include concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. SCOPE:
· Supporting SDA in the management of their full ecosystem including communications, process and data flow, including BMC3, SDA, Space, CJADC2 and Cloud DevSecOps ecosystems.
· Developing Product Roadmaps in an Agile Engineering Lifecycle (AEL) Framework
· Defining flow (process, data, and communications) integration points between all ecosystem players
· Leading, supporting, and driving cross collaboration
· Developing Roadmap, Requirements and Risk Management for the full programs
· Evaluating and contributing to the Single source of truth for the reference design architecture (Requirements, Models, M&S, Release and documentation)
· Managing and supporting of application providers for application development in the entire lifecycle
· Managing Testing of Release of Applications and Mission Packages

Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. IMPACT: Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically results in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect image of organization's technological capability.
LIASON: Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree
· The ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
· Proficient in Systems Engineering and Integration across multiple stakeholders
· Experience with modeling, simulation, and mission analysis techniques and tools
· Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and works well in a team environment
· Experience with MBSE tools and techniques
· Experience with MBSE and M&S tools, such as Cameo/NoMagic, ModelCenter, Aras Innovator, Matlab, or similar
