SAIC’s Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic division is seeking a Naval Inertial Navigation Sensors SME. This work can be performed remotely, with 25% travel to Little Creek, VA, San Diego, CA, and New London, CT.  

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in US Navy Inertial Navigation Sensors, Navigation Data Processors and Distribution, or Navigation Charting Display Systems.

This is an exciting new opportunity to join us in supporting our (U.S.) Fleet and Coalition partners with comprehensive programmatic and technical support for In-Service and emerging Inertial Navigation Systems and Geospatial Information and Services.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain and Secret security clearance
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in US Navy Navigation Electronic Systems to include:
    • Technology Analysis and Assessment
    • Design Definition
    • Development of Systems Specification
    • Systems Analysis
    • Systems Architecture
    • Systems/Equipment Integration
    • Test & Evaluation Criteria
    • Logistics support of C4ISR requirements

DESIRED EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Ship’s Inertial Navigation Systems (INS, SINS, CVNS, etc.)
    • AN/WSN-5 Ships’ Inertial Navigation Set 
    • AN/WSN-12 Inertial Navigation System-Replacement (INS-R) 
  • Aircraft Inertial Alignment Systems (AIAS, SNAIAS, etc.) including but not limited to:
    • TS-3543 Digital Data Test Set 
  •  TS-3543A/U Handheld Digital Data Test Set
  •  OU-174 and other data converters
  •  AN/SRC-40 transmitter and support equipment
  •  AIAS Distribution Hardware
  •  Navigation/Combat Systems for Littoral Combat Ships (Freedom & Independence Class)
  •  Navigation/Combat Systems for Fast Frigate Class
  •  QPI Fluxgate Compass
  •  Honeywell H-764 Backup Heading Reference
  •  Repeaters – Panel and Pelorus support (Speed, Course, Heading, etc.)

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
