Description
SAIC is looking for a Drafter CAD Operator in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy. This position will provide drafting and documentation support for NSWC Crane code GXT.
Job duties include:
- Creating and modifying detailed drawings using AutoCAD CAD Software
- Working closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design
- Working independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation
- Performing a variety of moderate and complex tasks and using a variety of tools to include, but not limited to: Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other mechanical devices to aid in design, development and verification/validation of first article pieces
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience; OR High School Diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Experience with using AutoCAD with view-ports using the model tab, layout out tab, scaling and layers
- Hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical knowledge and aptitude with understanding of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures
- Understanding of Architectural Layouts and procedures
- Must be able to communicate complex ideas effectively and complete professional correspondence.
- Able to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general instruction
- Knowledge of: ASME-Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000 an associated Drawing Standards, Technical Data Packages, and Military Standards
