Job Description


SAIC is looking for a talented Enterprise Architect to join our Operations and Maintenance Division - Requires competence in Information Technology (IT), Enterprise Architecture, Capital planning, IT investment management, Systems Development Life Cycle Management (SDLCM), Agile, software and infrastructure architecture modeling and business process reengineering in financial and healthcare sectors. Provides advice and guidance regarding the design, development, operation, and support of complex Information Technology systems or processes.  Design and implement features in collaboration with team engineers, product owners, data analysts, and business partners using Agile / Scrum methodology.  This is a full-time position located in Austin, TX, however, it is 100% remote. 



·       Lead and provide direction working in multiple EA Domains (Business, Technology, Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Network Infrastructure, Data, Security, and   Governance) to implement FSC Vision, Mission Goals, Objectives, and Business Strategy, and help lead the translation of the business strategy into a technical strategy.

·       Demonstrate expertise in System, Data, Security, Infrastructure, AWS, Azure and Hybrid Cloud, and Technology Architecture Domains

·       Demonstrate expertise in establishing Enterprise Design Patterns. Architecture Domain Diagrams, and Best Practices for Architecture and Design.

·       Demonstrate expertise in establishing Architecture Domain Diagrams, and Best Practices for Salesforce Architecture and Design including customization and implementation.

·       Design the organization strategy and data model for Salesforce implementations.

·       Develop, maintain, and review data processes and architecture for both on-premises relational database and Salesforce cloud-based object data systems.

·       Conduct team reviews and recommend, Salesforce data modeling, administrative, and design improvements.

·       Conduct Data import from external systems into Salesforce using Dataloader, Workbench and API.

·       Be able lead and collaborate on enterprise architecture design principles and define standards for the same.

·       Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes.

·       Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

·       Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.

·       Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members.

·       Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

·       Understand assigned clients and their service lines and actively assess/present ways to improve.

·       Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

·       Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge and produce on time deliverables.

·       Produce highly detailed document artifacts and maintain them for the duration of projects.


·       In-depth knowledge of EA processes such as Project Intake, Solution Architecture, SAFe Agility, TOGAF, SDLCM, Salesforce, legacy to Cloud transition planning, risk analysis, alternative analysis, and performance management.

·       Bring knowledge and expertise in integrating Salesforce with other technologies and vice versa, as well as experience with governance and development operations.

·       Knowledge of the Veterans Affairs Architecture Framework (VAAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF),

·       Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM) and Frameworks

·       Knowledge of financial payroll and accounting systems, electronic healthcare and financial claims processing

·       Unicom System Architect and Visio tool hands-on experience with logical software and physical infrastructure architecture diagrams is required.

·       In-depth knowledge of working with SharePoint and PowerPoint documents

·       ServiceNow ITIL and incident management exposure is recommended.

·       Hands-on experience producing Business Enterprise Architecture Assessments with business requirements, high level technical solution, cost estimate, resource requirements, security, and proposal options.

·       Hands-on experience with the Salesforce product suite, including Service, Community Cloud (Experience Cloud), App Cloud, and Einstein solutions.

·       Experience with full-fledged data warehouse or data mart models.

·       Experience with master data management, data governance, data security, data quality and related tools desired.

·       Demonstrate experience with complex coding through ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Pentaho, and Talend.

·       Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.

·       Pega Framework with Java, .Net, Enterprise Service Bus, Web Services and API exposure is recommended.

·       BPMN and Data Modelling exposure is recommended.


Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology preferred.

·       10 - years relevant experience required

·       At least Ten years' experience providing internal/external consulting services to management and technical staff in solving business and/or IT related issue

 6 - years of relevant experience may be substituted for education

o   Related certifications in Salesforce a plus

o   Salesforce Data Architect

o   Salesforce Administrator

o   Salesforce Platform App Builder

o   Salesforce Platform Developer I / Salesforce Platform Developer II

o   Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team skills

o   Attention to detail and excellent customer service.

o   Ability to work well in a team environment.

o   Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Preferred Experience:

·       At least Ten years’ experience providing internal/external consulting services to management and technical staff in solving business and/or IT related issues.

·       At least four years’ experience coordinating and/or supporting EA governance activities (i.e., Exhibit 300 reviews) or Capital Planning Control reviews from an EA perspective.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team skills

·       Attention to detail and excellent customer service.

·       Ability to work well in a team environment.

·       Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
