Description
SAIC is seeking a talented individual to provide Systems Engineer support to the AEGIS Computing Infrastructure (ACI) In-Service Engineering (ISE) Support Services supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Detachment located on Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, CA. Support shall provide ISE and logistics technical services for the ACI equipment as well as NSWCPHD test sites and ships. This effort will include operational support, engineering recommendations, technical documentation updates, material prototyping and engineering research for the ACI, including but not limited to:
- Server Nodes and Networks
- UNIX/Linus and CISCO IOS
- Network Switches
- Common Processing System
- Digital Video Distribution System
- Mission Planner and Kill Assessment Thin Clients
- Operational Readiness Test System
In addition, requirements include preparing all documentation to support Technical Working Groups (approx. 12 annually), conduct technical analysis, review and prepare documentation for ACI training materials (approx. 2 annually), review and prepare revisions in support of any ACI changes including but not limited to SCD, ECP, ORDALT and SHIPALTs (approx. 8 annually) and electronically update and maintain changes for Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC) (approx. 60 changes annually).
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 (two) years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of the AEGIS Weapons System and its elements.
- Experience with Fire Control, ORTS, Mission Planner, ADS, CND kill vehicles, interceptors, and countermeasures.
Required clearance:
- Active Secret clearance; higher security clearance will be acceptable.
Target salary range: $85,001 - $95,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
