SAIC is seeking a part time Help Desk Technician to contribute in systems development & deployment,  processing & analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions in support of Navy unmanned systems. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated professional to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence.

Work will be conducted onsite at the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) located in San Diego, California. This part time work is estimated to 20 hours a week.

This position is contingent upon award news expected in early 2024.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides coordination, planning, and execution of integration, training, and operator support for software systems and applications deployed aboard unmanned vehicles and shore based operation centers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and conducts installations and system subsystem checkout as well as training at operational sites, and vehicle integrator locations for systems, or new vehicles in the sustainment and development phases of the respective product/programs lifecycle.
  • Provide tiers 1, 2, and 3 helpdesk functions for the software products.
  • Tier 1 and 2 support shall be on-call during normal business hours unless the US Navy requires urgent support.
  • Tier 3 support (on-site) shall be necessary to rectify trouble call issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Develop and update training materials and quick reference guides for operator and maintainer training associated with existing, enhanced, and new functionality of software products.
  • Develop software test procedures and conduct functional test, system integration test, and computer program acceptance testing for new software baselines.
  • Coordinate and support proof of concept field testing and field operations, data analysis, defect correction, and defect qualification for shore site and unmanned platform trials and test events as well as any required operational test events.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or equivalent with 5 years of professional experience with field operations and system integration
  • Active Secret Clearance (interim Secret acceptable to start)
  • Experience developing technical documents and configuration management
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities with technical and programmatic teammates
  • Desired experience with field integration and testing of software systems
  • Desired experience with unmanned systems support and operations
  • Desired experience conducting work using DevOps and Agile methodologies

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Active Secret Clearance (interim Secret acceptable to start)

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
