Description
Do you like supporting the Space Systems Command helping to defend our nation? Is Cybersecurity System Administration your thing? If so, SAIC is seeking you, our latest Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to support the Space Systems Command to develop, deploy, modernize, and expand the program and its customers. We are looking for you to be a detail-oriented systems administrator with cybersecurity experience to be responsible for security, troubleshooting network access and implementing network security policies and procedures at our organization. Work alongside an elite team at Colorado Springs, CO.
Fun work you will be doing on the job:
- Manage, install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions for the organization’s servers, desktop and mobile equipment
- Ensure email and data storage networks work properly
- Manage telecommunication networks
- Update software with the latest security patches and ensure the proper defenses are present for each network resource
- Configure security systems, analyze security requirements, and recommend improvements
- Participate in decisions about buying future hardware or software to upgrade the organization’s network
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 9 or more years of relevant experience (4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree)
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
- Proven hardware/software troubleshooting experience, including virtualization
- A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems
- Familiar with cyber tools such as Evaluate STIG, eMASS, ACAS, Xacta
- Willing to consider diverse opinions and viewpoints, capable of innovative thinking and solution formation
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance
- Able to obtain environment certification within 6 months of start
- HBSS and ACAS installation and management experience
- Experience with patching and applying STIGs and other cyber technologies that implement security controls in military cyberspace operational environments such as firewalls, router ACLs, PKI, OWASP, scripting, identity management, virtualization, etc.
- Experience with performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans
- Experience creating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
