Description
Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Ground Systems within the NRO SIGINT Directorate LEO Systems Program Office (LSPO). Individual must be familiar with the satellite ground segment acquisitions, O&M of those systems, and operational ground stations. The LSPO ground segment consists of ground command and control (C2) and mission management software as well as the supporting hardware and networks.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support development of satellite control ground systems to include:
- Ensuring needs are accurately captured and documented in requirements, architecture and CONOPS. Track and evaluate allocation of requirements to subsystems and units
- Develop and manage system inter-segment ICDs
- Coordinate and support definition of, integration with, and migration to cloud based computing
- Coordinate with other acquisition offices to ensure end-to-end acquisitions enable mission closure
- Identify program risks and opportunities and support/manage their resolution through execution of program processes
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science)
- 10+ years' experience with NRO ground systems
- Satellite ground systems acquisition experience to include understanding of software development
- Experience with cloud-based computing operational systems to those constructs
- Experience with NRO organization structure and systems engineering business processes
