Introduction  

 

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Cloud Architect Senior/Cloud Comp Engr Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.  

 

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.  

 

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT). 

Job Description
 As technical expert with critical decision-making responsibility to see that requirements are met, plans, designs, develops, manages, and maintains FEDRAMP authorized cloud-based capabilities in support the customer's OCIO’s cloud migration strategy including cloud-based file and data storage. Provides technical expertise and designs technical solutions IAW customer requirements, creating functional design specifications and reference architectures, and contributes to development of project plans. Deploys, tests and debugs cloud initiatives IAW community best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Develops integrated system test requirements, documentation, and strategies. Directs system-level testing. Monitors the consumption of cloud resources, request fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture. Offers recommendations for cloud migrations, evaluates cloud strategy, and prepares technical implementation roadmaps for cloud adoption. Working with the customer's Cloud Services team, maintains a holistic view into the cloud landscape and documents the empirical data on usage and consumption to optimize solution footprints in the usage and consumption report. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications  

 

It is required that the Cloud Architect Senior/Cloud Comp Engr Senior have the following qualifications: 
 

• BA/BS + 9 years of experience or a Masters with 7 years experience.
• DoD Cloud Experience
• Linux experience
• IAT II qualification (i.e. Sec+ or equivalent)
• Secret clearance

 

Desired Qualifications  

 

• MA/MS with 3 to 6 years of experience 
• Greenfield Cloud deployment experience
• Experience with Terraform/Amazon CDK
• Experience with Kubernetes/Containers
• Experience building/using secure containers
• Experience making / executing Boundary Cloud Access Point (BCAP) Connectivity

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
