Description
SAIC has an immediate need for a Sr. Data Architect supporting our customer in College Park, MD. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Your role with SAIC will keep you engaged in a diverse, fast-paced government environment while interacting with government stakeholders, team members and SAIC management.
a. Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and data users, to understand the database requirements.
b. Design and plan the database structure, ensuring it aligns with the organization's data needs and objectives.
c. Develop data models that represent data entities, their relationships, and attributes.
d. Create ERD's to visualize the database structure and design.
e. Implement database design, including creating tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
f. Ensure database development follows best practices, performance optimization and coding standards.
g. Monitor database performance and identify areas of improvement.
h. Implement optimizations such as indexing, query optimization, and caching strategies, to enhance database performance.
i. Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard in case of system failures or data loss.
j. Integrate the database with other systems, applications, and data sources to support seamless data flow and data consolidation.
Qualifications
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in developing and designing as a Data Architect
5+ years of experience in data systems or data platform architecture or implementation
3+ years of experience in AWS RedShift experience
Ability to develop and orchestrate data pipelines using RedShift
Ability to work with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
Ability to Identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
Public Trust Clearance
Bachelor's degree
