SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, is seeking a Software Engineer who will develop and design software solutions using various programming languages to include Java, JavaScript, XML, Python, MarkLogic XQuery, C#, and C++, including automated testing.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience
  • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following software engineering activities:

• Performing architecture, engineering, design, implementation, administration, and functional testing activities related to the software development, systems integration, and testing environments, which may be physical or virtual
• Working independently in an Agile environment
• Developing in the cloud using standard tool compilation and build processes
• Commercial cloud environment technologies and providers to include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and/or Oracle Cloud
• Utilizing JavaScript (JS), jQuery, Bootstrap, Java, XQuery, XML, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Linux, Linux Shell, OpenStack, JSON, SOAP, and REST
• Autoscaling EC2 production instances based on variable user traffic
• Utilizing version control systems such as Git
• Utilizing and configuring Elasticsearch and Kibana
• Developing and deploying biometric-based identity management solutions
• Utilizing the security accreditation process
• Integrating new technologies and innovative processes or methodologies into a secure environment
• Understanding the end-to-end system concept of operations, application features and capabilities, and user’s usage patterns
• Connecting multiple data sources across multiple domains and boundaries
• Using biometric systems such as IDEMIA’s MBSS and Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) architecture
• Demonstrated experience with geo-spatial software and programming packages and data formats. Demonstrated experience with geo-spatial software and programming packages and data formats

• Desired:
  • Demonstrated experience integrating new technologies and innovative processes or methodologies into a secure environment
  • Demonstrated experience using Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, and Headless UI
  • Demonstrated experience understanding the end-to-end system concept of operations, application features and capabilities, and user’s usage patterns
  • Demonstrated experience integrating accessibility standards into modern web methods
