SAIC is seeking an ATS Systems Engineer to maintain, monitor, and update all Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Software related to the Asset Tracking System (ATS) located in Crane, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Asset Tracking System (ATS). The candidate must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude due to multiple locations and various end users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production ATS website.
  • Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources, and log management of ATS system.
  • Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis; identifying issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, user access and other interfaces to effectively meet system availability requirements.
  • Manage and implement patches and updates for ATS, coordinating patch schedules to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and address system issues.
  • Provide timely incident response and technical support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Interface with military, DoD Civilian, and contractor personnel, with a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or informatics and zero (0) years or more experience; additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Current CompTIA Security + certification.
  • Must be able to obtain Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Certification within 120 days of hire
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Good communication skills to work closely with customer and vendors.
  • Excellent writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software Excel and Word.
  • Assist and troubleshoot all items related to NSWC Crane Asset trackers from internal Team and customers.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Thorough knowledge of Asset Tracking System (ATS) and/or other similar government tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of One Touch/ Haystack/ FedLog
  • Provides Technical support for software systems and subsystems; Primary internal Team/customer contact.
  • Maintain, monitor, and update all NSWC Crane Software needs that relate to the Asset Tracking System (ATS), other NSWC Crane team tracking systems, and provide troubleshooting assistance when needed for all Software related items. 
  • Assist NSWC Crane team with any and/or all Software related items, issues, and troubleshooting related to Asset tracking and the Asset Tracking System.
