Description

The Offensive Cyberspace Operations Planner will serve as an advisor to the Director of Operations in the Cyber Tactical Operations Center (C-TOC) and Command leadership regarding full spectrum cyberspace operations (CO) and operations in the information environment, as well as how CO enables OIE. This position is located at Fort Meade, MD.

This position supports the Comprehensive Cyber Support Services II (CCSS II). CCSS II is a SAIC Prime DoD contract that supports Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command. Team SAIC delivers high impact subject matter expertise to help solve complex operational challenges the Marine Corps faces in this dynamic domain of warfare. Our SMEs cover the spectrum from All Source Intelligence Analysts, full spectrum CO Planners, CND/IR, and OCO mission management. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Apply a thorough knowledge and understanding of the plans, missions, components, organization, and structure of the Cyber Mission Force.
  • Draft and/or edit Operations Plans (OPLANS), Operations Orders (OPORDs), and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs) as required. 
  • Must be familiar with and participate in Joint Planning Groups, Operational Planning Teams (OPG/OPT), Target Working Groups, and Capability Working Groups in order to drive operations.
  • Integrate cyber capabilities into plans, support action officers with planning, and remain cognizant of missions and priorities. 
  • Develop technical concepts of support, courses of action, integrate command and external capabilities to enhance planning products, 
  • Apply working knowledge of network architectures, security fundamentals, operating systems (OS) and system virtualization in order to facilitate cyberspace operational planning.
  • Familiar with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four  (4) years or more experience.; Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

Required skills:

  • Demonstrated technical planning experience specific to cyberspace operations
  • Understand military planning processes 
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of networking concepts, cyberspace capabilities, infrastructures and platforms.

Required clearance:

  • Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph dated within the last 5 years.

Desired skills:

  • Cybersecurity certifications and military schools such as JCOPC, JNAC, or equivalent cyber planner’s course.
