SAIC is seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Control Analyst to support programs within the Army Business Unit of SAIC’s Ground Systems and Combat Support Operation.  Individual will provide project management, earned value management and financial analysis support for a major government program.

This position requires proven experience across project planning and control with a background in Government financial analysis. Candidate will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple funding sources with varying size, complexity, and level of risk. This individual will work closely with other Project Controllers as well as Program Management personnel and should be familiar with multiple program types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc.) with varying degree of complexities.

This position can be worked remotely 100% nationwide.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze income statements, and other financial records and reports.
  • Research complex accounting issues and errors to find solutions.
  • Review, track and approve customer invoice back-up documentation.
  • Conducts cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret accounting records.
  • Monitor disbursements and research problems to identify issues and recommend corrections
  • Help prepare monthly metrics reports, internal management reports, and external regulatory reports.
  • Help present financial data, progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations.
  • Participate in the development of budgets (spend plans) for assigned programs and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and program financial variances.
  • Must be able to multi-task and support program with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Interface with program managers, SAIC’s finance, accounting, contracts, as well as external customers on a daily basis to address operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Generate program/project status, cost and schedule indicators, project schedule trends, critical path analysis, schedule optimizations, and provide reports to management and clients.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a Finance or Accounting discipline with three (3) years or more of relevant experience in Federal government contracting
  • Must be familiar with multiple program types (CPAF, CPFF, LOE, FPLOE, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, etc.) with varying degree of complexities.
  • Individual must possess 3+ years of experience in project management, earned value management and financial management.
  • Experience in providing financial tracking and support for the government customer in areas of Program Control, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles.
  • Can make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, accounting principles.
  • Ability to balance long-term thinking with short-term execution.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision, be persistent in follow-through.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
