SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer that will be required to help with test-driven development with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to support the Marine Corps MCTIMS project. This role is 100% remote. 

The candidate will understand and prioritize assigned SW development work effectively and collaborate with other developers on a continuous and regular basis. The candidate will be required to manage container pipelines, work in a DoD Agile Development environment, correlate mission and functional requirements into specific tasks/backlog and estimate the level of effort, and actively participate in scrum meetings and ceremonies. 

JOB DUTIES:

• Analyze end-user needs and design, test, and develop software to satisfy demand.
• Analyze and translate business requirements in functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Design user interfaces by using conceptual design techniques such as creating visual mockups, prototypes, and diagrams.
• Test-drive development with Angular, React, Java, Junit, etc.
• Pair programming in the Extreme Programming framework.
• Evolutionary design Collective code ownership Retros Short iterations CI/CD.
• Understand and prioritize work creating and managing container pipelines within Tanzu or have supported an existing environment.
• CI/CD and application build and deploy (Tanzu, Git)
• Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.
• Ability to correlate requirements to specific tasking.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

• Must have a Bachelor’s and five (5) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

• Experience with ReactJS and Typescript.
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
• Experience with Oracle 11G or greater.

Required certification:

• Must have a Security+ certification.

Required clearance:

• Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
