SAIC has an immediate opening for a SETA/Systems Engineer to support to an exciting and impactful customer mission.  The successful candidate will exhibit proactiveness, leaning forward in a high-impact customer mission environment. This position requires strong experience in systems engineering applied to enable operations. The candidate will work closely with the customer and other project teammates to support acquisition, integration, test, deployment and operations of customer mission systems.  

Qualifications

• Must hold a TS/SCI and Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum of 14 years of relevant technical experience
• Ability to work at customer site, providing advisory systems engineering support
• Strong oral and written communication skills to enable effective interactions with customers, other team members, development contractors and external stakeholders on significant technical matters that require coordination and clear communication
• Minimum of five years of progressive responsibilities in systems engineering, operations support, and/or other direct customer support
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary team and become a productive team member in a short period of time
• Experience writing technical artifacts, test plans, standard operating procedures and other common engineering and systems engineering documents
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, at times under tight schedule deadlines
• Ability to adapt to change
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate technical meetings
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and Visio
• Willingness to travel (CONUS) up to 5-10% of the time

Desired

• Experience with communication, network, satellite or tactical systems
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering, math, etc)
