If you are up to the challenge, SAIC is seeking energetic individuals with a strong desire to enhance space resiliency.  This position provides Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support to the National Reconnaissance Office, offering unparalleled insight into an emerging mission area and opportunities to secure our nation’s space enterprise.

SAIC has a funded need for a Data Analyst to fill a key position supporting a Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer charged will delivering solutions across a range of rapidly expanding and complex space and ground system initiatives.

The Data Analyst will be a member of a team of high-performing mission and system engineers that directly support the Government in defining, developing, and evolving a state-of-the-art ground system. This position will serve on-site with the Government customer located in Chantilly, VA. 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and coordinate system performance test planning, execution, and evaluations
  • Assess performance of the system in real world and simulated environments
  • Coordinate simulations of real-world scenarios and simulated data inputs
  • Quantify, benchmark, and document system capabilities, performance, and limitations
  • Assess component and system-level actual performance against benchmarks
  • Support space protection system application and capability testing
  • Analyze trending of performance over time
  • Create and maintain dashboard of statistics of system performance
  • Develop recommendations to improve system performance and utilization
  • Assess technical proposals to improve areas listed above

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • 5+ years’ experience in space systems, software testing, data analysis, and/or other engineering domains
  • Knowledge and skills in orbital mechanics
  • Experience using orbital analysis tools (e.g., Satellite ToolKit (STK))

 Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting the NRO
  • Experience in space flight safety, space domain awareness, and/or space protection
  • Experience applying data analytics to Space Situational Awareness or Space Domain Awareness missions
