SAIC is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to lead an integrated industry-government team working to design, develop, and demonstrate leading-edge technologies for new manned and unmanned ground vehicle systems.

This position will require the candidate to be on-site at the US Army Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) in Warren, MI several days per week in a hybrid work environment.

Job Description:

Project Systems Engineering Lead (PSEL) performance will include:

Use a broad range of Systems Engineering principles to lead the execution and delivery of engineering work products for ground vehicle systems.

  • Apply systems engineering processes, methods, and tools over an entire product lifecycle.
  • Establishment of stakeholder and mission needs
  • Formulation of concept of operations
  • Requirements definition and development
  • Performance of alternative analysis
  • System design, development, analysis, integration, and test
  • System and operational performance analysis
  • Validation and verification planning
  • Lifecycle cost analysis and estimation
  • Risk management
  • Providing systems engineering leadership in technical reviews.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors and five (5)+ years’ related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; additional four (4) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Systems Engineering aspects of a ground vehicle project/product team
  • Develop and mature system requirements and interface control documents in DOORS or other requirements management tool
  • Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system, subsystem, and component alternatives to inform overall system decisions/recommendations
  • Work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process to develop and demonstrate integrated system design in accordance with requirements
  • Lead systems engineering aspects of technical reviews including SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR
  • Develop requirement verification matrices for system, subsystem, and component designs
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure product quality and development performance
  • At least 4 years’ experience in system design, development, integration, and verification testing of military ground vehicles
  • Experience in applying Systems Engineering processes and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools to complex project/product solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
  • Must be a current US Citizen
