SAIC is seeking a Senior System Administrator in Mclean, VA to support our customer in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with broad impact to the customer’s mission. The candidate will be responsible for both LINUX and AWS system maintenance, Including keeping systems in line with the security plan, maintaining accounts and permissions, reviewing audit logs, addressing user concerns about system usability, and maintenance of existing systems.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

• System Maintenance:  Implement, Install, and maintain operating systems and applications and/or cloud-based infrastructure, including patching, configuring, and interfacing with other applications/systems as required.
• Software management, laptop compliance, patch management, and continuous monitoring/scanning.
• Analyze audit logs and application logs.
• Generate, install, and periodically renew site certificates.
• Troubleshoot systems and solve problems across all platforms and application domains.
• Closely collaborate with ISSO's, ISSM Staff, application teams, and Cyber Security personnel to manage ongoing issues and accreditations.
• Perform system scans and compliance checks.
• Analyze scanning results for evidence of security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI W POLY
• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• BS in Technical Discipline is required.
• Strong Skills with Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky
• Experience installing and maintaining Linux Red Hat (CentOS) servers and workstations.
• Experience maintaining web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, Snapshots, AI/ML services, S3, and hosting cloud web applications.
• Working knowledge of scripting/automation, Notable's, Firewalls, IPTABLES, PKI Management, Troubleshooting issues.
