Description

SAIC is seeking a Software Product Designer to work remotely within the U.S. Candidate will be required to help with service design and design research to support the Marine Corps MCTIMS project. The candidate will understand and prioritize assigned software product design work effectively and collaborate with other developers on a continuous and regular basis. The candidate will be required to manage customer requirements, work in a DoD agile development environment, correlate mission and functional requirements into specific tasks/backlogs, and estimate the level of effort, and actively participate in scrum meetings and ceremonies.

Job Duties:

  • In-depth knowledge of service design and design research.
  • The ability to run the research activity across multiple projects
  • Manages both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and different data set integration.
  • Demonstrable well-rounded work portfolio.
  • Proven experience in designing for developers/technical audiences
  • Proven experience designing desktop applications
  • Ability to collect and interpret quantitative and quantitative feedback.
  • User interviews.
  • Define personas.
  • Usability testing.
  • Service design.
  • UI/UX Visual design.
  • Pair with PM to prioritize features.
  • Pair with PM to establish an Outcome Oriented Product Roadmap, Manage the Backlog and Produce Portfolio, Program, and Team Metrics in the Application Lifecycle Management tool (Atlassian Jira and Confluence)
  • Collaborate with Engineers on Test-driven development, Pair programming, Evolutionary design, Collective code ownership, Retros, Short iterations, CI/CD.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in product design for technical products
  • 2+ years of UX/UI experience
  • Create user interface designs for desktop-based applications and cloud services for a technical audience.
  • Develop design prototypes for testing with users
  • Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, wire-framing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Must already possess SECRET clearance.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
