SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Operations Analyst in our fast-paced Civilian Business Unit (CBU) Business Development (BD) Team, with a desire to positively influence and ultimately impact the success of the Team!

The individual will be involved in all elements of Business Development Operations for the Business Unit including: refining and efficiently managing the communication/reporting/review business rhythm, facilitating knowledge management and ensuring data quality in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, tracking all business development metrics and preparing information and analysis briefs, and identifying and recommending efficiencies in the optimization of the business development life cycle, all in direct support of the Business Unit’s Business Development Vice President, Business Development Leads, Capture Managers and Proposal Managers. The position will have access to senior leaders and executives that will provide a great foundation to grow across the company!

The position is hybrid – with an expectation that the individual will be available to work out of the SAIC Reston office two days a week

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Manage and optimize the communication/reporting/review business rhythm.
  • Manage, track, and report on key business development metrics.
  • Manage action item trackers and document lessons learned.
  • Synthesize data into actionable analysis and risk reduction recommendations.
  • Support the streamlining and automation of BD processes and procedures.
  • Support data entry and data quality in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Identify and implement standards for development and management of a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Support deal qualification and proposal development.
  • Develop and facilitate training of BD operations, BD tools and win initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree and two years' related professional experience working for a Government Contractor in the technology space
  • Understanding of Business Development, Capture & proposal processes
  • Strong proficiency in MS office tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Ability to critically analyze information from multiple sources and provide clear, quality final analysis
  • Ability to execute critical thinking, problem solving, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to organize and drive teammates to action and standards. 
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time sensitive and often multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with peers and senior leaders
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
